Install Ninja Trader

Sentient Trader can read and receive data from many different sources, and in many different formats. In order to simplify the Sentient Trader getting started process we have chosen Ninja Trader as the source for all the EOD sample workspaces. Ninja Trader is a very popular trading platform, and its integration with KineTick data provider gives you access to free EOD data (end-of-day: in other words new data is available at the end of each trading day).

Ninja Trader and KineTick EOD data are both free, enabling a completely free getting started process.

Installing Ninja Trader

Installing Ninja Trader is very easy:

Go to the Ninja Trader download page.
Enter the registration details, and then click on the Download Ninja Trader button.
You will soon receive a free license key from Ninja Trader (sent to the email address you provided with your registration details). Follow the instructions in that email to install and license your free version of Ninja Trader.

Next we need to set Ninja Trader up to receive the free EOD data required for your sample Sentient Trader workspaces.
